Emojis are commonly used factor in our daily messages in social media. Emojis makes us funny at times, angry at sometime,even leads misunderstanding. Being, the users of emojis, we should have to know about it's history. Let's get started!!
Emojis have been popular since they appeared in Japanese mobile on late 90's. Nowadays it become the common usage among people for communication. Today there are thousands of emojis representing people in all their diversity. In this growing digital world, emojis became important throughout the global world.
The emoji was predated by the emoticon, a concept first introduced in 1982 by computer scientist SCOTT FAHLAMAN, when he suggested text based symbols such as :) and :( .
Then later at 1999 Japanese artist SHIGETAKA KURITA created 176 emojis. KURITA worked on the development for i-mode -an early mobile network platform -DOCOMO. It became popular among Japan. In 2007 ,a software internationalization team at google decided to lead the charge recognized by the UNICODE CONSORTIUM, a nonprofit group.
